Visit Seattle

We invite lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender travelers to be a part of Seattle’s sophisticated, thriving urban core to experience the pristine wilderness and abundant outdoor recreation that surrounds.

Located between snowy mountain ranges and overlooking Puget Sound, Seattle is a fast-paced metropolitan city with the perfect mix of natural beauty. Where else can you kayak up to your favorite restaurant, then set out strolling and shopping through downtown?

See a play at a local theatre – before it’s seen on Broadway. Record your own song at the EMP Museum. Sample an array of cutting-edge cuisine from some of the country’s top chefs- 13 James Beard award winners in all. From world-class wineries, music venues for every genre and natural beauty to explore, Seattle has something for everyone.

Explore a colorful mix of neighborhoods that mingle among the city’s hills and waterways, from hip and gritty Georgetown to beautiful Ballard. While Seattle’s LGBT community is integrated throughout the city, its highest concentration of businesses is on Capitol Hill. Broadway Avenue boasts bookstores and boutiques and to the south along the Pike and Pine Street corridor, many of Seattle’s top bars, nightclubs and trendiest restaurants can be found.

Take an excursion. Seattle is the gateway to the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by salt water Puget Sound and fresh water lakes, two mountain ranges and three national parks. Day and night skiing are just an hour east, high in the Cascade Mountains. Take a guided sea kayaking tour in the heart of the city or consider flightseeing by floatplane. Victoria and Vancouver, B.C. are nearby and offer a two-nation vacation.

It’s all here, waiting to be experienced. Discover what’s over the rainbow in the great Pacific Northwest. We’re proud and excited to welcome you to Seattle.
